Any treatment programs in LA that actually get police officers?

I'm a 12 year LAPD officer and I'm trying to find a treatment program in LA that won't out me to my department or make assumptions about who I am. I'm also gay, which made two of the places I already called feel even more awkward since they clearly weren't used to that combination. Does anyone know a program that handles both the confidentiality piece for law enforcement and the LGBTQ+ piece without making me explain myself twice?

I haven't dealt with the police side specifically, but I found an LGBTQ+ affirming program in LA that put its confidentiality policy in writing before I signed anything, which mattered a lot to me too even though my job wasn't in law enforcement. I'd ask for that policy in writing rather than taking someone's word for it over the phone, especially since your department situation adds another layer they need to get right. It's a reasonable thing to ask for, and any program that hesitates to give you a straight answer is telling you something.

I'm a former sheriff's deputy and I went through a program that had experience with both issues, they kept my file completely separate from anything that could reach my department and the intake counselor was upfront about working with LGBTQ+ clients before I even had to ask. What helped most was that they didn't lump the two things together like being gay somehow explained my drinking, they treated them as two separate parts of my life that both mattered. I'd call and ask directly whether they've worked with law enforcement clients who are also LGBTQ+, since the honest answer to that question told me more than anything on their website.
