Where are you actually getting free Narcan in LA?

I've been trying to get my hands on free Narcan around LA but every place I call either says they're out of stock or acts like they've never heard of the program. Does anyone actually know where to walk in and get some without jumping through fifty hoops? I don't have insurance and just want a couple kits at home in case anything happens with my roommate.

My local library branch near Highland Park started keeping Narcan behind the front desk last year, along with a laminated card showing how to use it. I also got a couple of extra kits from a harm reduction table at a community health fair, they were just set up on a folding table handing them out to anyone who stopped. Worth checking if any pop up events are happening near you since they seem to move around the city pretty often.

The needle exchange vans that run through downtown and Skid Row on weekday afternoons hand out Narcan kits with zero paperwork, I've grabbed extras there for my whole apartment. Some of the county public health clinics also keep a box of kits at the front desk now, you just ask the receptionist and they hand you one without asking why. If you want it mailed instead, the California naloxone distribution project ships a free kit to your address after a short online form, it took about a week to show up when I ordered mine.
